Month: October 2026

...When you think back on a favorite trip, what do you remember first? There are so many different ways to record a trip, and you definitely don’t have to write down everything you did from the moment you woke up until you went to bed. Depending on the trip, sometimes I want to remember the […]

...Following the release of Hobonichi 2027, the Traveler’s Notebook 2027 lineup is finally here! I always look forward to seeing the new yearly designs, even though one of the best things about Traveler’s Notebook is that you never really need to replace the leather cover itself. A new year simply gives us another excuse to […]

...I’ve been using my Hobonichi so much this year that checking the Hobonichi 2027 previews daily became part of my daily routine in August. Now that the full lineup is finally out, I wanted to take a closer look at all the new planners, covers, and collaborations coming for 2027. Explore Full Series → Hobonichi […]

...Fall knitting patterns are officially taking over my brain again. As soon as the weather starts cooling down, I want to cast on everything at once. Sweaters finally make sense again, cozy yarn starts looking irresistible, and somehow my project queue gets longer every time I open Ravelry or flip through a knitting book. So, […]

...In my last post, I shared the planner supplies I bought during the first half of 2026 that I’ve been genuinely happy with and using regularly. This time, I wanted to look at the opposite side: the stationery purchases I was excited about but still haven’t fully worked into my journaling routine. I wouldn’t call […]

...When I think about the best stationery products I have used during the first half of 2026, the items that stand out are not necessarily the newest or most expensive. They are the ones that stayed in my routine after the initial excitement wore off. They made my existing supplies easier to organize, gave me […]

...I first discovered Hobbyra Hobbyre because of one very specific item: a Snoopy walking bag knitting kit. I came across it online before my trip to Japan and instantly fell in love with it. At the time, I didn’t even realize it was a relatively new release. I simply thought it was adorable and assumed […]

...I didn’t originally plan to visit Traveler’s Factory on this trip to Japan. I already own plenty of Traveler’s Notebooks, and we had so many family activities planned for this trip that I thought I’d skip it this year. At first, I didn’t expect much from the 20th anniversary release. I thought it might be […]

...Best JLPT study materials become harder to choose as you move into higher levels. At N2 and N1, the challenge isn’t a lack of resources — it’s figuring out how to study without drowning in them. Listening and reading suddenly feel heavier, time pressure becomes real, and simply adding more books often makes things worse […]

...I’ve lived in the United States for years, and I also ended up passing the JLPT N1 after studying Japanese as a hobby. But even with those experiences, I still do not always feel as natural or effortless as I want to when I actually use the languages. My English works in daily life, but […]

...Are you a washi tape lover? How do you organize your washi tapes once your collection starts growing? I love washi tape, but storing it has always been one of those small organization problems that never felt fully solved. The rolls are cute, but they are bulky, and once you have enough of them, they […]

...Okadaya Shinjuku had been on my Tokyo craft shopping list for a while, but I missed my chance during my 2025 trip because I thought the new store had not opened yet. I was also already planning to visit Yuzawaya Kamata at the time, so I ended up saving Okadaya for another trip. This time, […]

...Hiragana katakana practice printable PDF materials are often searched by learners who already know what hiragana and katakana are, but still feel unsure when it comes to actually using them. Charts look familiar, characters feel recognizable, yet something doesn’t quite stick. That gap usually appears when learners move from passive exposure to active practice. Many […]

...Planner accessories can be surprisingly personal. Some are nice to look at but never become part of your routine, while others slowly turn into things you reach for all the time. For me, those have been sticky notes, index tabs, and round stickers. I started using them for practical reasons, but over time they became […]

...I do not usually reach for shawl projects with a lot of excitement. That probably sounds strange to say at the beginning of a shawl post, but it is the truth. I have always preferred knitting garments because they feel more dynamic to me. A sweater keeps changing as it grows. There is the neckline […]

...Cutting back on flour sounded manageable until bread became the problem. I could swap noodles more easily, but finding the kind of bread I actually liked was harder than I expected. I love sourdough and ciabatta, and after struggling to remember what worked, what failed, and what my starter was even doing from one bake […]

...Best JLPT study materials are something a lot of learners end up searching for sooner or later, usually after realizing that there are far more options than expected. Once you start looking, it’s easy to feel overwhelmed by long recommendation lists that don’t really explain when certain books are useful or why they worked for […]

...There is something deeply comforting about keeping my hands busy. Over the years, I have tried many different hobbies, but when I look back, most of the ones that truly stayed with me were hands-on hobbies. They were the kinds of creative hobbies for stress relief that gave me something to focus on when life […]

...This year’s spring break felt a little harder before it even started. We already had car maintenance scheduled that week, which meant I would not be able to drive my child around much. Since we would be spending more time at home than usual, I wanted a better way to plan our days. I did […]

...When I started looking for a new pilot fountain pen, I was not simply shopping for another pen. I had a specific goal in mind: I wanted a fountain pen that could work well for fine lines and eventually for drawing. I already love the Platinum Preppy and still think it is one of the […]
